Tenrock was founded in 2014 with the aim of creating social inclusion for young people in disadvantaged areas through contemporary social circus activities. The contemporary circus is a circus without animals that combines the acrobatic performing arts with the arts of theater and dance in the show. Young people are involved in courses, workshops, seminars, internships and creative residences, activating the possibility of social and work inclusion in their favor. In the early years, the Tenrock social cooperative was operational in the large atrium of an elementary school in the city of Brindisi.

At the end of 2019 a small circus chapiteau was purchased located inside a structure called Fabbrica del Farò and managed by another social cooperative (Il Faro social cooperative) where social inclusion actions are activated in favor of women and young people in a disadvantaged area by a network of organizations (cooperatives, associations, active citizens, etc.). Within the network of organizations Tenrock has an important role in youth animation and social inclusion.

In fact, the space is set up as a multipurpose structure with a good versatility in hosting activities other than circus events such as fairs, exhibitions, dinners-shows, congresses, conferences, etc. We offer space to current and socially relevant issues. At the same time we offer theatrical events and reviews aimed at the public, distributing theatrical performances for adults and children. We organize workshops in schools of all levels, offering workshops and social circus activities for unaccompanied minors in disadvantaged areas and training courses for teachers. We develop motor circus and social circus projects.
