DIGITAL EMBODIMENT – THE WORLD WIDE WEB AS A SAFETY NET AND SECOND BOTTOM

Welcome to the First Mobility: Collaborative Learning and Interaction!

In this inaugural mobility experience, we have ingeniously blended virtual and physical activities to maximize the benefits for all participants. Our methodology is founded on the well-established Pillars-Phases Model, as elucidated in the proposal. We are excited to present our innovative approach to you.

Virtual and Physical Activities: A Perfect Harmony

We seamlessly integrated virtual and physical activities to construct a comprehensive and diverse program. Prior to the commencement of our face-to-face meeting, a Virtual Campfire Event set the stage for our collaboration. This virtual gathering was dedicated to discussing crucial topics that formed the foundation for our collective endeavors.

Custom-Tailored Program for Real-World Relevance

Our activities were meticulously tailored to address the needs and responsibilities of each organization. Each element of the program was designed to make a direct contribution to participants’ day-to-day work, offering them the opportunity to apply newly acquired knowledge immediately. A notable highlight was the training of all on-site staff to contribute content to our shared web platform. This process not only involved collaborative efforts in shaping the platform’s core structure but also considering individual requirements to personalize the platform and attain a shared outcome.

Hands-On Learning and Active Participation

Our program was intentionally designed to provide space for practical experimentation and active involvement, enabling participants to actively shape the outcomes. An exemplary instance of this approach was our Pop-up Event, during which participants were empowered to play an active role in shaping the program. One partner effectively utilized this platform to orchestrate an engaging Street Happening involving circus equipment and create a trailer for World Juggling Day 2022.

Cross-Border Collaboration and Multilingual Diversity

One of the challenges we faced in this mobility initiative was the varying levels of knowledge and language skills across organizations and participants. However, we successfully overcame this challenge through purposeful group formation and cultivating an open and relaxed environment. Shared experiences and enthusiastic participation fostered a learning atmosphere centered around attentive listening, inquisitive questioning, and mutual learning.

Collective On-Site Creation and Collaborative Online Work

A distinctive strategy was employed, emphasizing collaborative creation during in-person interactions and later engaging in collective online work for theoretical content suited to virtual collaboration. This approach enabled us to maximize the utilization of the limited on-site time while fully leveraging the potential of online collaboration.

We extend a warm invitation to explore our event documentation, which provides a comprehensive insight into our diverse activities and the outcomes of our collaborative efforts. We are proud of how adeptly we merged virtual and physical elements to craft an inspiring and practical mobility experience.

The Fundación Escuela de Solidaridad is a project that aims to recover the family sense of people who, due to various circumstances, have not been able to and cannot experience it. It starts from a concept of a universal family where any creed, idea, religion or conviction is accepted and fully integrated, with respect as a method of intervention and personal development. With these premises, the Foundation welcomes people living uprooting, social disadvantage, abuse or exclusion into a home: mothers with children in emergency situations, young immigrants, adults and adolescents at risk. The home is the starting point for personal recovery and in it the key method and training for future integration into society is developed. This idea is rooted in a spirit of non-biological “paternity” or “mothering”. People who are vocationally dedicated to this task act like any father or mother and do not receive financial remuneration for this work. The home is a nurturing space that feeds and promotes learning tasks and where introducing new content is a constant. The Foundation has a philosophy of openness, of not putting conditions on the people it welcomes at home, except in the case of addicted people (alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc.) who are referred to specialized centers. At the same time, a feedback phenomenon occurs over time. The testimony of the oldest in the home becomes a role model for the newcomers.
