In this workshop…

Training, knowledge, awareness and production course aimed at particular social contexts. The main objective of the project is to provide participants with the socialization tools for a new discovery of the self and of the relationship with others, through the knowledge and practice of artistic languages such as dance, theater, writing and music, following a specific training path.

The dance in the social environment, guided by a correct artistic methodology, creates those premises and those stimuli for a self-analysis, enriching the valorization of the person. Depending on the place we enter, the users we address and the specific objectives to be achieved, we develop a course that leads to the creation of an artistic product that is presented to society to give voice and visibility to the protagonists of our workshops who are often located on the margins of society. The courses are almost always filmed by cameras to give testimony of the workshop activity carried out.

About Alpha ZTL Association

AlphaZTL wants to break down the barriers that prevent social integration. The goal is to give a voice to minorities, sometimes subjected to prejudice, by echoing them as much as possible. AlphaZTL deals with contemporary dance, video dance, documentaries, artistic workshops in the social field, projects against school dropouts and education to legality. Thanks to the will of choreographer and artistic director Vito Alfarano, AlphaZTL operates internationally, receives important awards and produces projects that see dance and other art forms develop through arguments related to social issues such as violence against women, incarceration, deafness, immigration, disability and isolation.

The Fundación Escuela de Solidaridad is a project that aims to recover the family sense of people who, due to various circumstances, have not been able to and cannot experience it. It starts from a concept of a universal family where any creed, idea, religion or conviction is accepted and fully integrated, with respect as a method of intervention and personal development. With these premises, the Foundation welcomes people living uprooting, social disadvantage, abuse or exclusion into a home: mothers with children in emergency situations, young immigrants, adults and adolescents at risk. The home is the starting point for personal recovery and in it the key method and training for future integration into society is developed. This idea is rooted in a spirit of non-biological “paternity” or “mothering”. People who are vocationally dedicated to this task act like any father or mother and do not receive financial remuneration for this work. The home is a nurturing space that feeds and promotes learning tasks and where introducing new content is a constant. The Foundation has a philosophy of openness, of not putting conditions on the people it welcomes at home, except in the case of addicted people (alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc.) who are referred to specialized centers. At the same time, a feedback phenomenon occurs over time. The testimony of the oldest in the home becomes a role model for the newcomers.
