NamaStay – A Creative Residence becomes Home

From Hearts to Home: The Grand Finale

Picture this: a culmination of our journey, where all the threads of our efforts wove into one vibrant tapestry. The Social Justice Lab at the helm, gathering the essence of every project endeavor. But this wasn’t just a showcase; it was a creation that transcended its parts, a masterpiece born from shared passion.

Enter the AllerArt Festival, our canvas. Born from the amalgamation of our learnings and experiences, it bloomed with the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences as its backdrop. With their support, their campus became our stage, where diversity met creativity, and where expertise from the Master’s program “performative Arts in Social Contexts” merged with our vision.

We saw it as more than an event. It was the “First International Pop-up Festival of Art in the Social Sphere.” Our goal? To transform the campus into a space you never wanted to leave. Flyers fluttered, posters adorned walls, all teasing the magic that was to unfold.

But let’s rewind a bit. Before the festival buzz, there was the welcome feast. Imagine this: the catering, lovingly provided by former clients of our hosting organization. From guests to hosts, the circle completed.

The festival dawned, and our magic began. The day was a whirlwind of rehearsals, setups, and the official opening at 6 pm. Oh, and the heart of it all – the exhibition. But don’t rush, there’s more to unfold.

Imagine a weekend that echoed with diversity and inclusivity. Live performances, workshops, knowledge-sharing – a symphony of creativity and growth. Curious about the details? Our program had it all – a kaleidoscope of international voices, talents, and passions.

The jewel in the crown was our AllerArt exhibition, nestled in the heart of Frankfurt University. We curated this masterpiece virtually, where “A creative residence becomes a home.” Picture it: a blend of rawness and warmth. Room dividers made from rustic wood, cardboard boxes, and makeshift panels. A journey from a construction site to a cozy living space, mirroring our project’s evolution.

Beyond the public eye, we had our moments. Reflections on our journey, discussions on sustainability, and whispers of future collaborations. We painted our dreams on the canvas of possibilities, sketching plans for the future. As we shared our individual action plans, something beautiful unfolded – we had already organically integrated our learnings into our practices.

And as the curtain drew close, our aftermovie captured the essence. You can watch the magic unfold here: [Link to Aftermovie].

From pixels to stages, from screens to hearts – our journey found its crescendo. A symphony of creativity, a dance of growth. We left our mark, our stories etched into the halls of Frankfurt University. And as the echoes of our steps faded, the spirit of our journey remained, forever dancing in the tapestry of memories

The Fundación Escuela de Solidaridad is a project that aims to recover the family sense of people who, due to various circumstances, have not been able to and cannot experience it. It starts from a concept of a universal family where any creed, idea, religion or conviction is accepted and fully integrated, with respect as a method of intervention and personal development. With these premises, the Foundation welcomes people living uprooting, social disadvantage, abuse or exclusion into a home: mothers with children in emergency situations, young immigrants, adults and adolescents at risk. The home is the starting point for personal recovery and in it the key method and training for future integration into society is developed. This idea is rooted in a spirit of non-biological “paternity” or “mothering”. People who are vocationally dedicated to this task act like any father or mother and do not receive financial remuneration for this work. The home is a nurturing space that feeds and promotes learning tasks and where introducing new content is a constant. The Foundation has a philosophy of openness, of not putting conditions on the people it welcomes at home, except in the case of addicted people (alcohol, drugs, gambling, etc.) who are referred to specialized centers. At the same time, a feedback phenomenon occurs over time. The testimony of the oldest in the home becomes a role model for the newcomers.
